Why Our Boards and Tongs Rock!

One Piece with Integral Handle

Handles are formed from and follow the angle of a branch as it grew off the trunk. They help grip and pass the board and give an artful touch. The flat serving part is hewn from the attached trunk.

Live Edges with Attached Bark

On live edges, bark is retained as much as possible, is securely attached and any small crevices are filled and sealed with epoxy resin to prevent moisture uptake and retention of food particles. Food safe Tung oil completes the finishing process.

Handcrafted from Local Hardwoods

Trays start out as raw wood reclaimed from construction sites, arborists and orchards in the Needham, MA, area. The branch yields the handle and the trunk the platter portion.

Testimonials

Really well done. Much better than the one my girl friend bought the other day for her dining room table.
